8: A New Beginning

I'm shuffling my mind thinking about how to begin this entry. There are so many things that I want to cover, but let me just start with this:

I'm sorry. I'm back. I'm not going anywhere. And to all of those that have stuck around, thank you.

To begin this, I will address the obvious elephant in the room. Yes, I had to re-do this website for various reasons. Yes, a ton of stuff happened that had to be handled, which obviously led to many changes that had to be made. Yes, I am single now. No, my vision for my career has NOT changed. And YES, my current focus is solely on my career and my career alone.

Since the last time I posted anything here, SO MUCH has happened, and is continuing to come my way. Let me see...

I have been fortunate enough to perform against D'Lo Brown in Arkansas in an AMAZING match, probably one of my favorites to date. I faced one of my "big brothers" in the business, ACH, in the main event of VIP Wrestling shortly after the blogs previously stopped. I shared a ring at another VIP Wrestling event with Rey Horus and Rey Fenix where I picked up a win. I also recently traveled to London, England where I performed for British Empire Wrestling and picked up a victory in my very first International Professional Wrestling match. (And yes, I know, would've been a great way to bring back the vlogs).

And then, of course, myself and one of my closest friends in wrestling, Gregory James, were chosen to compete in a match against AOP on Monday Night RAW. Obviously, we were not victorious, but on a personal level, we shared a very special victory that night.

But I think one of the most important things that has happened to me, was investing in myself and participating in the multiple camps held at the New Japan Pro Wrestling Dojo in Los Angeles, California. Going into these camps, I had NO idea what to expect, only knowing that I would be tested to my mental and physical limits. Sounds terrifying, yes, but at the end of each camp, each session, I didn't want to leave. I didn't want to stop learning. I knew that this ring, this place, this company; this was where I wanted to be. And I was going to make sure that they knew it. Over the few camps, I was determined to show coach Scorpio Sky and head coach Katsuyori Shibata that I was willing to throw away my previous nine years of knowledge just to learn the style at New Japan. In the end, my sacrifices and my hard work seemed to pay off. After one of the grueling camps, Shibata-san personally invited me back to the Dojo at a later date for an invite-only private training session with him and only a few others.

Now, I obviously cannot go into full detail about what happened at the invite-only camp. But what I CAN say, is that bonding with the Dojo guys, getting to privately talk to Shibata-san about my personal aspirations and goals, and basically becoming a part of the LA Dojo family, has been one of the most humbling and exciting experiences of my life. Some things were said that basically not only re-ignited my fire and passion for this, but it set the blaze into overdrive. It will only burn brighter as I prepare for another camp this weekend.

Among all of this, I also was finally approached by the super reputable company AAW, I am about to have some game-changing matches and bookings that I can't quite reveal yet, and I am basically beyond blessed to be receiving what is coming my way in the very near future.

The last few months have weighed heavy on my mentality and focus, but, things have a weird way of working out in the end. And maybe there are some out there that don't agree, but I believe that I serve a mighty God, and He has definitely been with me recently.

I'm sure there is so much more that I need to cover, but I want to at least put something out there now. It has been FAR too long since I have put my thoughts into words. I'm glad to have everyone here, and so many that have been willing to reach out and voice their concerns and well wishes.

I'm back. Vlogs will be back. The store will be back. This ball hasn't stopped.

We only hit a roadblock. Here's to a new beginning, and to the very bright future.

Thank you for being here. Let's do this together.
